Scape

I am working to capture landscapes that really express a wild, untouched, deeply emotional nature; the brooding sense of an incoming storm, the permanence of monolithic rock formations older than life, and the peace and solitude of inhospitable space.

These expressionate landscapes are created in oil pastel or oil paint on A4 prepared paper (8.3 x 11.7 inches). To create these I use a palette of titanium white, buff titanium, ivory black, raw umber, sap green, yellow ochre, cadmium red, and occasionally dioxazine purple. I use no blue, which makes this a harmonious palette that I deeply enjoy.
