About Me
My name is Sarah and I am a full time professional artist based in Northamptonshire, UK. I have enjoyed making art for all of my life. For me, it's less about the product and more about the process, the act of creating that makes my heart sing and my mind quiet. I like to feel free to paint anything that takes my fancy, and I am inspired by the natural world. I work in a bold, direct manner in oil paint on prepared paper.
As an art tutor, I have an extremely varied background in art and materials and am knowledgeable on a wide variety of subjects, theory, and techniques. I am very open minded and able to see value in all types of art. In addition, my years as Production Manager and then Operations Manager of a software development company have enabled me to sharpen my skills in supporting and encouraging people, problem solving, time management, project management, and communication; all of which enable me to better help other aspiring artists.
Personally, I am a bright, positive person with a calm, compassionate, and genuine manner, an ability to think outside the box, and a heartfelt desire to help everyone create art.
